If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. (Jesus)
Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness (Jesus)
Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Jesus)
If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. (Jesus)
No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other (Jesus)

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him. (God)
I thank you, O Father, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. (Jesus)

Christianity 101 – A Simple Exam for Christians

The Course

Let’s say there is a “course” you could sign up for called Christianity 101. The course would focus strictly and only on what Christ taught. Wouldn’t that be a great place to start? Oh wait, there already is a course like that. It’s commonly referred to as “the Gospels”; a collection of writings that contain Christs’ teachings and recordings of the life he modeled.

The Exam

OK. Let’s say you have completed this course (read the material) and were given a simple final exam. These questions are not difficult. They are actually quite simple and easy to answer if, in fact, you read the material.

There are only 3 questions in this exam. See if you can answer them (without skipping ahead to get the answers).

If you answer them correctly, then congratulations! You really are paying attention to what Christ taught!

If you answer them incorrectly:
1) You should be really embarrassed that you so badly missed what Christ taught
2) You should be really motivated to go back and dedicate yourself to correcting your beliefs. Either that, or stop calling yourself a follower of Christ.

Not to scare you, but I have given this simple exam to multiple Christians. I have yet to find a Christian who can pass this simple exam.

Here are the exam questions. These are not trick questions. They are simple, straightforward questions with simple, straightforward answers. The only restriction is that you must answer the questions by referring only to what Christ taught. You are a follower of Christ, right? Then, you should know what he specifically taught about these things.

Here we go:

  1. According to Christ, why did he come to earth?

  2. What is the topic Christ talked about the most?

  3. According to Christ, what is the gospel (good news) about?

Simple, easy questions, right? Every follower of Christ should be able to easily answer these questions.

So, go ahead and write down your answers.

I’m leaving a lot of blank space in this article before I give you the link to the answers. This is to encourage you to stop and answer these questions and to not skip ahead to the answers before you do. Please, this is important!
